This process makes it highly flexible and easy to wind into complex shapes. Heat treatments can set a permanent shape and modify thermal and mechanical properties. We supply it with black oxide and polished surface finishes, but other finishes are available upon request
- Versatile Applications: Nitinol round wires can be used in a wide variety of applications, including actuators, springs, and even shape changing art. The possibilities are limitless with our round wire
- Transition Temperatures: - SuperElastic: 0-10°C, Springy and superelastic at room temperature - Air Temp (20°C): Soft in cool environments, changes to set shape at room temperature - Body Temp (35°C): Soft in cool environments, changes to set shape when held in hands - Standard Temp (45°C): Soft at room temperature, changes to set shape when heated to 45°C and above - High Temp (80°C): Soft at room temperature, changes to set shape when heated to 80°C and above
